Richard joined the Tilt Renewables Board as an Independent Director in August 2023.
Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the energy sector, its infrastructure, asset management, risk management and customer experience. His track record includes managing industry acquisitions and mergers, advising on and implementing regulatory strategies, leading high-performance teams and championing the interests of both providers and consumers in a rapidly changing environment.
He was CEO of Ausgrid, the largest non- government owned Transmission and Distribution business in the NEM for over 6 years. During that time he led the transformation of Ausgrid into a customer centric, operationally efficient industry leading business. He has previously served as CEO Wellington Electricity in NZ and held numerous Executive and non- Executive roles for the CKI group.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Graduate Diploma of Agricultural Economics, as well as a Masters of Commerce in Economics and Finance. He attended the Harvard Advanced Management Program in 2011.
