Forest Wind is a major clean energy project which will support South East Queensland’s growth with enough renewable energy to power approximately 500,000 homes every year

Project Details

Forest Wind is located between Gympie and Maryborough in southeast Queensland. Tilt Renewables are developing the project with our codeveloper CleanSight, the project’s founders.

Forest Wind has a potential capacity of 1,200MW helping drive the transition to renewables outlined in the Queensland Energy Plan.

Uniquely for a project of this scale, Forest Wind will largely avoid sensitive environmental areas as it will be built within exotic pine plantations.

The Project will also deliver local construction and operational jobs as well as business opportunities for the Wide Bay community and broader region.
