Planning and Approvals

The Project first secured planning approval in 2009. The approvals were modified in 2016 to allow for improvements in wind turbine technology and a reduction in the number of wind turbines required.

Environmental approvals

A series of management plans were put in place to manage the construction and operation of the project. The project also monitored how select animal species responded to the Silverton Wind Farm.
