Scholarships and the Lend a Hand Community Benefit Fund

Tilt Renewables is committed to open and honest dialogue with all stakeholders, with an aim to build and enhance community acceptance and trust in all projects and in the renewable energy industry as a whole.

We welcome your feedback if you have any concerns and are happy to assist with any questions you may have about the project.

We are also committed to providing financial support to the local community through community benefit programs. This includes the Salt Creek Wind Farm Lend a Hand Community Benefit Fund.

The program provides funds for community projects and initiatives in the area and is administered by an independent community group.

The fund is in addition to the Salt Creek Education Scholarship Fund which commenced in 2019.

In recognition of the importance of tertiary education and its associated costs, Salt Creek Wind Farm host landholder and Tilt Renewables have established an annual scholarship of $30,000 for the benefit of a deserving local applicant.

Rural students face additional accommodation costs compared to metropolitan students. The scholarship goes towards accommodation costs so that they have more time to study, have a balanced lifestyle and not have to work long hours to support themselves.

You can read more about how to apply at: www.saltcreekscholarship.com.au

The Salt Creek Wind Farm Lend A Hand Community Benefit Fund is open for applications all year-round.

A sub-committee of the Woorndoo Community Group has been established to administer the fund.

The guidelines and application form are available below and you can direct any enquiries to 1800 WE TILT (938 458) or SCWFcommunityfund@tiltrenewables.com.

The fund provided $25,000 in its first year, with $10,000 annually for the life of the wind farm.

The fund does not need to be spent each year – it will accumulate for future expenditure if not all funds are allocated.
