The Broken Hill Solar Farm generates up to 53 MW of renewable energy. That's enough annually to power up to 19,000 homes.

Project Overview

The Broken Hill Solar Farm is located about five kilometres southwest of Broken Hill, NSW. Each year it avoids the generation of approximately 100,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases.

Broken Hill has some of the highest levels of solar radiation in NSW, making it an ideal location for a solar power plant.

The Project officially began operations in 2016 and continues to operate efficiently to this day providing customers with clean renewable energy.

A viewing platform is available on site with full view of the 140 hectare solar farm.
